On July 14, 2009, the members of Bowne's senior executive team rang The Closing Bell® at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in celebration of two anniversaries: 10 years of NYSE-trading, and 100 years as an incorporated Company. Bowne was listed on the NYSE on July 1, 1999 and was incorporated May 1, 1909. The Company first went public in 1968.
